More Caleb things that make me laugh and smile

The other morning, I was changing Caleb and he peed just a bit when I took his diaper off.  He was just reading a book and not paying attention.  I yelled, "Caleb!" because I was surprised - he hasn't peed when changing a diaper since he was a newborn.  Well, after he realized what happened, he grunted and continued to force the rest of the pee out while laughing.  I was screaming and laughing, while trying to grab whatever clothes I could to soak it up and keep it from spraying everywhere.  It was a lot of pee.

When Caleb counts he always says, "twoeee".  It must be a combo of two and three.  :)

Caleb likes to pretend the word for "knee" is "elbow."  He'll point to his knee and say "elbow" over and over again just to make me laugh.

Caleb called himself "Tadub" the other day.  He doesn't say his own name very often, but he has just started so say it more.  When he says Nathan's name it sounds like, "Nay-n."

Whenever I ask him to say "sorry", he just turns my head and kisses my cheek.  That is one way to do it!

He sometimes pretends he hurt himself.  It usually happens after he wobbles or gets frustrated with something.  He'll come over and point to his head or arm and want me to kiss it and give him a hug.

He says, "upchee" for "upstairs."  What he is really saying is "up the tree" from the book Go Dogs Go.  There is a part where all the dogs climb up the ladder on the tree and it says, "up the tree, up the tree."

He is amazing me with his vocabulary.  The other day he reached for my pants and said, "pocket" and tried to put his cars in my pocket.  I was like, "what??  when did you pick up that word??"

Last week as we were driving home from church, David and I were talking and not really paying attention to Caleb babbling in the back seat.  When I tuned in, I heard him saying, "Jesus.  Bible." over and over.  So cute!  I don't know if they talked about that in his nursery class, but I was surprised that was on his mind.  Whenever he reads his Bible story books he says, "Jesus!" with a little lisp and such gusto.  It sounds like he is a southern preacher.  :)

That isn't gel in his hair.  That is yogurt from breakfast that he
smothered all over and I wasn't able to get out.

Always laughing and trying to make us laugh.

Playing next to his little bro.

Reading MotorTrend in the car.

First ride in a car grocery cart.  I never use these, but
he went shopping with Daddy this time.

Things that make me laugh...

Here are some funny things Caleb has done that made me laugh.  I have to write them down before I forget.
  • He came over and saw me nursing Nathan and said, "Baby, mouth" and then did this open-mouth sucking motion with his jaw like a fish.  I cracked up.  And of course that prompted him to laugh and keep doing it.
  • After he ate his eggs for breakfast, I gave him some oatmeal.  He held out his hands and said, "prayers."  So we prayed again and he said, "amen!"  I guess he likes to give thanks for each course of the meal.  hehe.
  • When I pulled the laundry out of the dryer, it was really warm.  Caleb said, "hot!" and started to blow on the clothes.  :)
That crazy kid is saying something new every day - I can't keep track of all his words anymore!
