Many, many days late for our last picture. I guess I lost steam!

Photo-a-day: day 30
Matthew is the 3rd brother, but in many ways he acts like a firstborn. He plays methodically, and enjoys playing by himself.
He and Nathan decided to wear socks on their hands and feet most of the day. :)

Photo-a-day: day 28
After I shooed the boys outside this afternoon, I saw them making a race car and rocket ship out of an old box they found in the garage. I asked if they wanted to markers to decorate it. So they drew an engine on the front, rocket boosters on the back, and some buttons, gears, and seats inside. And they added the caution sign on the back for kind of a spoiler. Cute!

Photo-a-day: day 27
I got a picture with me and my Easter boys.
When I asked them to smile for a picture, this is the best I got. I think they're getting tired of this photo-a-day. :)

Photo-a-day: day 26
Woohoo! Family bluebonnet day! We squeezed it into our busy day. The pictures turned out cute. Although, the experience was a little crazy. It was a steep hill, that Matthew seemed like he was going to fall down any minute. Caleb was not crazy about all of the bees and bugs. And since it was near a flooded bayou, David was afraid a water moccasin was going to come out and get us...he had seen one in a bayou just a couple weeks ago. But, we endured it all for the sake of our picture traditions!

Photo-a-day: day 23
There are so many interesting things going on with this picture. Sometimes you just don't ask. #boymom :)
Oh, and I may think twice before playing with that basketball again. :P

Matthew's been potty trained for about 3 months. He's doing great. This is my view several times a day. :)

I got an action pic of the boys enjoying some play time together. I'm so happy they have each other!

Photo-a-day: day 12
I gave the boys haircuts today. They were getting a little shaggy. :) When it's their turn to get a haircut, they get to play on the tablet. So they actually enjoy when it's their turn. While I was setting up, they were using their water squirters to suck up muddy water from a puddle and squirt it into a container. They were saying how great it was, and they were going to make so much money from all this water they were collecting. I love their imaginary play!

Photo-a-day: day 11
Oh, I'm sure they're going to love me one day for capturing this photo! Ha! Pretty often, the boys will go in my closet and dress up in my shoes and hats. (Shhh! Don't tell Daddy.) ;) Well, today I saw them getting their guitars out, and dragging their chairs in their room. They said they were both being mamas singing to their babies (stuffed animals). Gotta love their imagination!

Photo-a-day: day 10
We're in the stage of "terrible threes" with Matthew. It's not so terrible, but he's definitely asserting his will, he always wants to be contrary to whatever you say, and he's whiny.
Here, I had put my camera down, and he started crying, "You not take a picture of me!!!" So I said, "Fine, I'll take a picture of you!" And this is his "I'm happy now" face. I think he even said that. He says that a lot when he finally changes his mind from being grumpy. "I happy now!" And he'll point to his fake smile on his face, like, "See, look!"

Photo-a-day: day 9
Nana took the boys to Toys R Us for a treat this week. Nathan picked out a small little Lego character, and was completely satisfied with it. The other boys picked out big Lego sets, but Nathan knows what he likes, and was very content. Nana convinced him to get two more Mixils.
Also, Nathan is our milk drinker. He'll suck his cup down without hardly taking a breath. :)

Photo-a-day: day 5
Caleb has turned into such a big reader. He's been waking up at 5:45 in the morning, and when I go in his room, he's there reading his book with his book light, and Nathan is still sleeping. He's reading everywhere. About a book a day. It's so cute!

Photo-a-day: day 4
Today we had a great time at Blessington Farms with our friends. There were so many great activities for the boys to do: big huge slides, jumpy things, sand mountains, a hay maze, strawberry picking and more! They said the hay maze was their favorite.
This weekend I'll try to get some of Caleb. It's harder to get pictures of him when he's at school all day!

Photo-a-day: day 3
My rodeo day cowboy! Nathan was so excited to dress up today. He said, "I want to wear all the things cowboys wear!" A strong contrast with Caleb, who I couldn't get to put on any kind of costume ever.
A little about Nathan these days: He's everyone's best friend or future husband. All the boys and girls love him. He gets along so well with everyone. He's sweet and kind and caring. We caught him kissing our neighbor the other day when they were playing mommy and daddy! And he says a girl at school says she's going to marry him. And all of the younger kids especially are always asking, "Where's Nathan? Where's Nathan??" I think it's because he's so gentle with them, and lets them play along.
He loves to learn. He's trying to figure out how to read on his own already. He still loves to make up elaborate stories. Which I have to give undivided eye contact for and verbally acknowledge all of the details. :) He says he wants to be an artist when he grows up. He loves social things and playing with friends, but he's still my snuggley boy who likes to be close.
He's got the funniest sense of humor. He loves to laugh. I'll try to get some pictures of his crazy facial expressions this month.

Photo-a-day: day 2
Today we went to the children's program at the Houston Audubon Society. We've been a couple times before. It's a little nature sanctuary hidden in Houston. They teach the kids about different nature topics. Today is was ladybugs. They got to learn about the life stages of ladybugs, do a song and dance, paint a rock to look like a ladybug, and release about a hundred ladybugs into the area. It was fun! I couldn't post just one picture today because I got too many cute ones.

Photo-a-day: day 1
Back at it with another year's photo-a-day!
Sorry for the food in the mouth. He was eating lunch outside when I took this one. He was my voting buddy today!
