Photo-a-day: day 4

Caleb was reading his library book after breakfast this morning.  I'm amazed how he's picked up reading so well!  He was reading the whole thing, just missing a few words here and there!  It's fun to see his little brain work.  He's growing up right before my eyes!

Photo-a-day: day 3

Today they were just running away from me and my camera.

Photo-a-day: day 2

Nathan and Matthew have been doing some brother bonding now that Caleb is gone at school.  Now that Matthew is two, he's getting the concept of playing together.  He can communicate more now, and he loves to follow around his brothers and copy everything they do.

This peaceful looking picture is about the only 10 minutes they played nicely today.  The rest of the day was crying and fighting.  In fact, I had to take this toy away and put it at the top of the closet because it was causing so much strife!  :)

Photo-a-day: day 1

Time to resurrect the ol' blog for my annual photo-a-day!  I've been keeping up with it for a few years now, so why stop?  It's a pretty easy project to commit to, and I love seeing the pictures that result.

This year's challenge will be to get Caleb in pictures because he's at school everyday now!

Here's my Nathan.  When I had Nathan, I always wondered if we'd get any alone time together.  Boy do we ever now!  With Caleb at school, and Matthew napping two hours everyday, Nathan is by my side the whole time.  We read, we color, we play, we snuggle.  I try to get him to go off and have some alone time to play or read, but he always says, "I want you."  "I want to be with you."  "I love you."  So I can't really say no to that!!

Family bluebonnet pics

We went back to the bluebonnets and did a family picture last week.  Matthew wasn't crazy about smiling for pics.  And he DEFINITELY did not want to take pictures with his brothers when I wasn't holding him.  But at least we got our annual picture!

This brothers picture was Matthew's least unhappy face.  Most of the others were him wailing.

But he turned on the charm later.  What a cutie!
