Busted lip

Poor guy got his first walking injury.  I think he's had some minor bumps before, but this is the first to draw blood.  He was walking around outside, tripped, and then face planted.  He bit the inside of his bottom lip, and scraped the outside of his chin on the pavement.  You can see a little bit of his fat lip in the picture.  It actually scabbed up worse the next day.

In other news...

Caleb is going through a clingy stage.  He doesn't like me to put him down or walk out of the room.  And he's started to cling and cry when we drop him off at the church nursery.  He's never done that before, so's it's kind of a weird thing for us.

He spent 5 days with Nana and Grandpa while David and I went to Missouri for his work.  It was our first time to leave him, but he did so good!  And he learned a few new tricks while we were gone - going from sitting to standing on his own, saying "Nana", and trying some new foods.

He's doing puzzles now.  And he loves blocks, Legos, and stacking cups.  He also enjoys taking things apart (i.e. my phone).  Do we have another engineer in our family?  May be too soon to tell.  :)

He has a hilarious sense of humor.  I can't really explain it because he doesn't use words.  But we can see it though his facial expressions and babble, his laughs, the way he plays games with us and teases us, and when he joins in our silliness.  He's always making us laugh.  I think he'll be one of those kids that "says the darnedest things."
