Photo-a-day: day 5

Caleb has turned into such a big reader.  He's been waking up at 5:45 in the morning, and when I go in his room, he's there reading his book with his book light, and Nathan is still sleeping.  He's reading everywhere.  About a book a day.  It's so cute!

Photo-a-day: day 4

Today we had a great time at Blessington Farms with our friends.  There were so many great activities for the boys to do: big huge slides, jumpy things, sand mountains, a hay maze, strawberry picking and more!  They said the hay maze was their favorite.

This weekend I'll try to get some of Caleb.  It's harder to get pictures of him when he's at school all day!

Photo-a-day: day 3

My rodeo day cowboy!  Nathan was so excited to dress up today.  He said, "I want to wear all the things cowboys wear!"  A strong contrast with Caleb, who I couldn't get to put on any kind of costume ever.

A little about Nathan these days: He's everyone's best friend or future husband.  All the boys and girls love him.  He gets along so well with everyone.  He's sweet and kind and caring.  We caught him kissing our neighbor the other day when they were playing mommy and daddy!  And he says a girl at school says she's going to marry him.  And all of the younger kids especially are always asking, "Where's Nathan?  Where's Nathan??"  I think it's because he's so gentle with them, and lets them play along.

He loves to learn.  He's trying to figure out how to read on his own already.  He still loves to make up elaborate stories.  Which I have to give undivided eye contact for and verbally acknowledge all of the details.  :)  He says he wants to be an artist when he grows up.  He loves social things and playing with friends, but he's still my snuggley boy who likes to be close.

He's got the funniest sense of humor.  He loves to laugh.  I'll try to get some pictures of his crazy facial expressions this month.

Photo-a-day: day 2

Today we went to the children's program at the Houston Audubon Society.  We've been a couple times before.  It's a little nature sanctuary hidden in Houston.  They teach the kids about different nature topics.  Today is was ladybugs.  They got to learn about the life stages of ladybugs, do a song and dance, paint a rock to look like a ladybug, and release about a hundred ladybugs into the area.  It was fun!  I couldn't post just one picture today because I got too many cute ones.

Photo-a-day: day 1

Back at it with another year's photo-a-day!

Sorry for the food in the mouth.  He was eating lunch outside when I took this one.  He was my voting buddy today!
