Purpose of this blog

Well, I knew I'd probably have to start a blog when Caleb arrived for out-of-town relatives who want to see updates. I tried to start this blog several months ago, but I deleted the old posts because they sounded stupid. I think when it comes to talking about my life happenings, I'm more of a private journal kind of person. So this blog will most likely be all about Caleb and what he's up to...since people are interested in him more than me anyway! Maybe I'll throw in some tidbits about me and David every once in awhile. Enjoy!

Hmm...am I in early labor??

I was pretty uncomfortable going to bed last night - I was having achy legs and joints. But now I'm up at 3:00 a.m. and I'm feeling crampy. I've had about 5 "contractions" in the last hour or so, but they're irregular and I can't tell if they're Braxton Hicks or the real thing. I guess I'll find out soon!

I'm going to try and roll over on the couch and rest. If this is the real thing, I'll need to save up some energy. :)

Shower

I had a great baby shower in Dallas with some old friends from high school, college and church this past weekend. It was a great lil reunion to see everyone. I really feel humbled when people get together to honor me. I don't feel deserving, but I'm very grateful.

Who knew that one little person coming into the world would require so much stuff?? I got a great variety of things that'll surely help when the baby comes.
