Fun things this weekend

We had two fun surprises for Caleb this weekend.  One was his big boy car seat, and the other was his first Astros game!

Ok, don't tell Caleb when he's older that we kept him facing backward in his infant carrier until he was 19 1/2 months old.  It might hurt his ego.  Most kids start facing forward when they turn one, but our little guy didn't hit 20 lbs until recently.  I think he's only 21 1/2 lbs now.  Apparently the new government recommendation is to keep them facing backward until they are two years old, so if he finds out, we can just tell him we were being on the safe side.  :)

To say he loved his new car seat is an understatement.  He was just smiling ear to ear, as you can see from the pictures David took with his phone:

He also attended his first Houston Astros game.  Again, he LOVED this!  He was mesmorized by the crowds, the cheering, the big JumboTron, the train on the side of the stadium...  It was a blast.  We only stayed for about 1/2 of the game, but it was well worth it.  And the Astros won!

He loved clapping with the fans!

I might ALSO be smiling just as big if my carseat looked that COMFY!! There's nothin' to do about the head bob, either. If you find a solution, LET ME KNOW too! :-)
