Park time!

The weather here has been gorgeous!  To take advantage of it, we took a walk to a park near our house.  It was fun because they had an infant swing.  Caleb had never been in one before, and he loved it!

Halloween

This was Caleb's first Halloween.  Our church hosted a Fall Festival, complete with games, rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, and more!  Of course, Caleb was too young to do most of it, but he had a blast looking around at all the action.  He didn't even mind wearing his costume.  Poor guy probably had no idea why in the world we would put him in that outfit and parade him around all the craziness at the festival.

I think this face says it all.  "What are they doing to me?"

Going with Grandpa

They had a toddler room with games and toys for his age.

Playing with the other Caleb in his giraffe costume.

We had to take a picture of our monkey in a tree.

Pearly Whites

I finally got a picture of Caleb's two bottom teeth!  I didn't think it was possible for his smile to get any cuter!  They are actually bigger than they look in the picture.

He also has two coming in on top...in an unusual spot.  It looks like they are his eye teeth coming in.  You might be able to barely see them.

He's going to be our little vampire for Halloween.  :)

Our Little Pumpkin

We ventured out in the beautiful weather this weekend to visit a local pumpkin patch. We thought we'd pick out a pumpkin for Caleb and have some cute photo opts for his first year.

He really liked looking around at the pumpkins and people...

He was a good sport and let me pose with him in the festive decorations.

But when we tried to put him down in the pumpkins, he did NOT like it!

After that, we tried to put his head through some funny cut-outs. I know, we're horrible parents. It's all for our own amusement. He wasn't really in the mood to be a corn stalk or a scarecrow.
But in the end, he was happy when he got his little pumpkin!

Bath in the sink

My method for giving Caleb a bath is always changing. First, it was sponge baths when he was a newborn. Then we did the infant bathtub where he laid on an incline. When he got too wiggly for that, we laid him down in the bathtub in an inch or so of water. Now he tries to roll over and crawl in the tub, so that isn't very safe anymore...and when he would try to sit, it was too slippery. I might go out a buy a toddler bathtub that will help him sit supported in the tub, but in the mean time, we tried the sink.

I may end up sticking with the sink because I don't have to bend over. We'll see. Here is a short little video of him trying it out. He splashed around a little bit, but kept reaching for me. I think he'll get used to it though. :)
